Indigo Problems: Modern Dating

Our generation is full of fiery indigo spiritual warriors who want humanity to be free. Indigos stand up for injustice on such a passionate platform, no matter where the chips may fall. These characteristics, while admirable, don’t always translate well into the dating world. Commitment, devotion and loyalty may seem to be synonymous with wearing shackles, tethering yourself to another individual for the indigo. The indigo spirit shuns anything that seems to impose on personal freedoms, including being with someone which may seem to limit your freedom connecting with others.

Even those who are experiencing synchronicity with a potential mate may run into doubts and problems. Synchronicity is a term coined by psychologist Carl Jung. He recognized that meaningful coincidences exist in this world as confirmation from the universe. What helped me recognize meaningful coincidences as miraculous is actually having a business background. Once you study statistics, you realize that the chances of experiencing a string of profound coincidences are one in a billion. Albert Einstein believed that coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous. My experiences have confirmed that synchronicity is experiencing the most tangible presence of God in this third dimensional density. I see answers to my prayers come to me when I follow synchronicity. It’s here for everyone but because we have free will, we can choose to ignore it. We can choose to live without it. We can choose to turn our backs to the miraculous.

Why do people choose to ignore divine guidance? This topic could be an article all on it’s own, but the most simple answer is fear. Following synchronicity means you are trusting in a divine intelligence. Many people struggle to give up their need to control everything. Following divine guidance is a form of surrendering your ego. Letting go of the ego can be difficult, depending where you are at on your spiritual journey.

As an intuitive and former whistleblower, I strongly identify with indigo qualities. I, however, feel great freedom in love. Here’s why: to be unconditionally loved by someone is the greatest form of freedom you’ll ever know. To be yourself, unapologetically, and to still have someone love you unconditionally empowers you to just be you. Making that switch in my mind that love doesn’t mean you limit my choices, but love means you build upon and strengthen who I am, has made the difference in opening my heart to love.

We live in an abundant universe so never believe for a second that love will be denied. The most important thing you can do is to love yourself. Focus on things that inspire you. Follow your passions. Do things that interest you. These actions will lead you to people who also share similar passions. You’ll find that love you are looking for as soon as you call off the search. There is great freedom in love, and recognizing that fact will soothe even the most rebellious indigo soul.

Heroes and Villains

I’ve been meeting a lot of new people lately, and in my encounters I am actually shocked how many people vilify other people. Gossip is something I am definitely not a fan of. I find it a waste of time. I find that others find it entertaining. However, most gossip is an exaggerated lie of the truth. Lies can be entertaining to those who don’t live in integrity. Bonding with others over a lie is a hollow friendship, yet I see it everyday.

I feel many people put others on pedestals, and sometimes even themselves. This is also a lie. No matter your accomplishments, popularity, or privileges, everyone on this Earth is just as worthy. Everyone is a divine being in spiritual truth. Once you pass on and shed the physical, you become part of the spiritual. Knowing this, everyone is one in the same in spiritual truth. Once you come to this realization, talking badly of others or idolizing others becomes time wasted. It isn’t necessary when at the end of the day you realize you are only talking about yourself in spiritual truth. We are all one. 💕

How The Dreamer Overcomes Difficulties

20140602-220202.jpg

Challenges are often a part of life. It’s how we flow around these challenges that determine how well we can cope with our chosen path. Does a river go through a mountain? It flows around the mountain. Sometimes you have to be like a river and flow around the difficult terrain on your path. While writing my book, not a whole lot of money was coming in, and even when impossible things seem to arise, I always found a way around an issue by detaching myself from my circumstances and being open to any opportunity that enabled me to flow around my problems.

Life is far from perfect, and there are no completely perfect people, but I am telling you losing hope is the biggest waste of time. Feeling hopeless is a trap of the ego. Hopelessness arrives when you are attached to a way of thinking about how your life should go. Your expectations will always fall short. It’s time to stop controlling your life, observing what is, and let go of ownership of the outcome. Let the universe do the heavy lifting and just keep doing your best. When you keep picking yourself up and continue to move forward, miraculous results will appear before an open heart.

Q&A: Stress and Anxiety Relief- Honoring Your Sensitivity

This past week, I received two separate questions on my Facebook from readers pertaining to the same topic. I have decided to include my responses on my blog, assuming many others may be dealing with stress and anxiety from our daily lives. Honoring your intuition and sensitivity will allow you to overcome these feelings and live a happier, healthier life.

Q: I have read really great things! I like the stuff you are interested in and the way you explain them. What really caught my eye is when you were talking about all the psychic senses, particularly the Clairvoyance part. The part that caught me was the high anxiety you felt, saying it was because you were ignoring your psychic abilities. Will you touch on that?

A: Absolutely. Even though I was very open minded to angelic beings and psychic abilities as a child, I found myself pushing spirituality aside in my early twenties to pursue a career in business, particularly insurance, which is a highly regulated industry. I found myself suppressing my true interests and intuition for a stable income.

My anxiety was off the charts. I was never super anxious or stressed growing up, even in seemingly stressful situations, but putting my spirituality out of mind made things worse. I would find myself barely able to sleep at night, even after working a 12 hour day. I was always going over and over my day in my head and thinking about all I had to accomplish the next day. On weekends, the anxiety would still be there even when I was off work. I would blast a fan during all seasons to drown out any noises to occupy my mind, and to put myself asleep to the sound.

After talking to family and a counselor about my dissatisfaction feeling anxious, I tried a few mainstream approaches. I tried the prescription drug, Ativan, and hypnotherapy focusing on releasing anxiety from my life, but nothing seem to stick or last long. I found the Ativan didn’t really do anything. Later, after studying the Indigo generation, I have learned drugs like Aderral and Ativan flush out of an indigo body rapidly. After studying “Awakening Your Indigo Power”, a certification course by Charles Virtue, I realized being unaffected by drugs is an indigo trait. According to Charles, Heaven knew that the indigo spirit would be a shock to the current world and many would try to control a “rebellious” child by suppressing their divine guidance and emotions through narcotics. Because of this, drugs and chemicals leave our systems very quickly, and have little effect.

I realized when my mind was most reflective was at night, that is when spirit was often trying to communicate with me. One night, I felt a presence near my bed. I knew it was my dad. I said outloud, “Dad, I really appreciate you visiting me, but I really need to sleep, so please leave me alone right now.” I literally felt his presence leave the room. You can be in perfect control of your abilities, but when ignoring them you are not protecting yourself. You can control with who, where, and when you want to communicate. All you have to do is think or say a boundary aloud.

These experiences set me out on a journey to actively use my psychic abilities. During work, I should have been shielding myself from the negativity around me and clearing my workspace, and home of negative energy, as well as my chakras at nighttime before sleep. In my findings, I realized sensitive people often absorb energy from others. The energy of my fast paced, stressful insurance job would stay with me well after I left the office. It wasn’t until I consciously cleared each chakra point of negative energy before bed until I started sleeping regularly. The act of releasing the day’s events each night reduced my anxiety tremendously.

At night, you can ask angels to clear the room of any negative entities or energy. I would always call on Archangel Michael to shield me and ask angels to guard my home. I highly recommend the Chakra Clearing nighttime meditation by Doreen Virtue. The book is worth buying to better understand the chakras, however, the meditation is available for free on YouTube. I often burn incense and sage as well to bring in a higher vibrational atmosphere. Once I started getting in a routine, everything calmed down for me. When you are clearing yourself regularly, new spiritual insights come more easily and rapidly.

Q: Hey Julie. Do you have any suggestions/insight into Palm/thumb stones? I’m looking for a stone to use at work, I have an extremely stressful job and it’s consuming my life (stress, negativity, etc). I’ve been doing P90X3 to burn off some stress, and trying to eat clean, but it’s not helping.

A: For calming, I really like blue calcite (blue crystal ball pictured). I have it in a crystal ball form and keep it in my room. Whenever I feel stressed, I like to hold it and it calms me down immediately. A metaphysical store should also have it in a thumb or palm form. It helps with developing psychic abilities and astral travel as well.

Also for negativity, I used to keep an amethyst (purple crystals pictured) on my desk at the insurance office. It is a protection stone and keeps the effects of negativity away from you on a vibrational level.

As a sensitive person it is important to ground yourself. You may feel really great in meditation, but that feeling will fade when you go back in your body during your day to day regimen.  Keeping black tourmaline (small black crystals pictured) around will help you to bring the higher dimensional vibrations to the Earthly plane.

Keeping rose quartz around your environment will bring a loving atmosphere, and often sets the intention for the other stones to bring in love energy when placed next to other crystals.

Certain smells can also be calming. I highly recommend lavender and chamomile like the spray pictured below. I also burned a lavender candle on my desk at work. The aroma put my customers in better moods as well.

I hope this helps! If anyone has any other suggestions for what may have worked for you, please share in the comments! Namaste

Ego versus Eco

20131117-184142.jpg

I have been a vegetarian of over 11 years and a vegan just recently. I always respected the innocence of animals and never wanted any animal to be in pain. This journey started when I realized that animals were not just being killed quickly, but absolutely tortured their entire lives. Throughout the years I have been teased, bullied, harassed, and manipulated into eating animal products unbeknownst to me. My philosophy became one that I wouldn’t tell you how I feel about you eating meat, if you would stop teasing me about being a vegetarian. This sense of complacency has really bothered me recently.

I thought I was doing the world a favor by being “respectful” of other people’s lives. Unfortunately, I forgot one other perspective: the animals. Now that I know that human beings are one with life, all creatures are beings created by God and who am I to stop another heart beat? Our notion that animals were put here for us to eat is extremely primitive in nature and an ego-based thought. When did killing become a sport? There are so many healthy alternatives to meat that killing anything is now just a game.

If you won’t stop eating meat for the animal, let me tell you how this energy is affecting your being. When bodies are stressed and fearful, chemicals are released. These chemicals are not taken from animal meat before you consume it. If you can picture your energy as a big ball around you, and everything you say, think, and eat powers this energy, would you want to power your energy with toxic fear? Fear is what keeps us from experiencing true oneness with God. Once this truth is realized, eating meat becomes blasphemous. Every being has a divine spark of light within.

Affirm: I am one with all of God’s creation.
