All Gays Go To Heaven

After my dad passed in the middle of the night, a very loving friend of mine took me to my dad’s house to see him one last time. I gave my dad a kiss on his cold lifeless cheek while my friend and I reminisced about him. Sitting in a room with my immediate family, my aunt tried to comfort me. She said, “Now your dad is with Grandpa and Grandma.” Everyone in the room nodded. She left out one important person. I said, “And Uncle John”. Everyone looked down at their feet. My Uncle John was an openly gay man who had died from AIDS when I was very young. I didn’t know much about him since he moved to Texas, but when we visited him, I remember really liking him. I could not believe in that tender moment that my Catholic family didn’t believe my dad and my uncle were in the same place. I felt very hurt having known such amazing openly gay people.

A couple months later, I went to a women’s health expo at the Birmingham Community Center. I was picked out of a group and read by accomplished psychic Lisa J. Smith. She said so many validating messages to me that I know for a fact everything she said is true. She told me something that I want to share with the world. My dad told her to tell me that he had found his brother on the other side and that they were indeed together. I cried the happiest tears in that audience. I felt him hug me in a big bear hug energetically. It was one of the most healing experiences of my life. There are many misconceptions in this society, so please always follow your heart. To my LGBT brothers and sisters, I feel you. I love you. Stay strong. In the words of Gaga, you were born this way, baby. God doesn’t make any mistakes.

Making Decisions from a Place of Awareness

When you find yourself making tough decisions, look inward. What are your insides telling you? Tapping into your intuition will help you make a decision from a place of awareness instead of fear. As a living being, you are wired to be a perfect vessel for energy. Nikola Tesla says it best: “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” Everyone has an inner truth detector when tapping into the energy of others. I think of it like sensing chord and key changes in music. When you hear a music chord progression go from playing a major chord to a minor chord, your whole body can feel that change. When you really tune into what someone is saying, and they lie, your body feels the energy of the lie in the same way you would a change in key. Something feels wrong, or out of perfect harmony.

Many people repeat untruths while not being consciously aware they are lying. There are a many misconceptions that are repeated as fact within society. When confronted with decisions in life, it is best to keep a bird’s eye view. By this, I mean to look at your life and your overall purpose from a broader perspective. By tuning into your inner guidance, you can feel which step is the best next step to take. Does this bring me closer to my life’s purpose or away from it? Which action brings you more peace? Your inner truth detector will help you navigate through the untruths.

If you find that you are having difficulty in feeling your inner guidance, I would suggest clearing the chakras through meditation. A guided meditation for chakra clearing would be a good place to start. I personally like Doreen Virtue’s “Chakra Clearing” meditation CD. You will notice that as time goes on, and you are clearing your chakras regularly, your intuition will become much more clear. As you rediscover yourself and your intuition, your path will become illuminated. You may never know exactly where your life is going, but your guidance will help you know which next step to take. Do not stand still based in fear. Charge forward fearlessly. Open up to endless possibilities. Once you make a clear decision, the Universe will answer and bring you everything you need along the way. Have faith, be fearless, be light.
