Religion is a concept that has been manipulated in means of control. I refuse to affiliate with religion because I do not believe in the separation religion creates. I hold the belief that there is truth in every religion. However, there is no one truth that can be expressed through any specific religion. The history of religion is a corrupt one, and is filled with murder, tyranny, and conflict. As soon as men saw spirituality as a means to control others, the birth of organized religion brought the attention away from one’s own personal spiritual essence and focused it out in practices of worship, obedience, and doctrine. The history of religion shows humans begin their quest for power when they discovered that if another man were allowed to realize his own divinity and power, no one could control him. And so they sought to suppress it.
