Have You Met You?

When looking at a human being from a higher perspective, our natural state is love and light in spiritual truth. Darkness only comes from the free will choices away from the light. Looking at someone through the eyes of compassion, we can see that there is nothing you could ever do to condemn your divine birth right as a spiritual being of light and love. With this in mind, we understand that your soul is nothing less than a part of the divine.

Romantic love is an expression of the love within your soul shared with another human being. Everyone has the potential to love because that is who we are in spiritual truth. To be afraid of love is to be afraid of yourself. I’ve been told to love someone is to be brave. To love is to risk your heart being broken. I disagree. To avoid love is to dim your heart chakra, and to repress the very essence of who you are. To inhibit your natural state of being is nothing less than to avoid meeting yourself. It is way more painful to repress your natural essence for any portion of your life than to love and lose. Also, when two people stay connected to the love within them, the struggle for romantic love ceases. There is no unbalanced demand between partners because love is shared.

With this logic in mind, it is easy to see that people can only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves. If others are fearful of expressing love, essentially expressing who they are in spiritual truth, they will not be able to connect with you deeply. If they haven’t met who they are, a deeply loving spiritual being, then they will likely have a difficult time connecting in such a balanced, healthy way.

Whenever you find yourself in a situation where you can see the divine love in someone before they can see it themselves, it’s okay to let them go. Wish them well, give them time, and let them meet themselves. In the meantime, know that love already exists within you. You don’t need any external being to express what was given to you by divine right. You are an amazing spiritual being of love. Never forget your truth.

Myth Buster: Unrequited Love

Sometimes we all need a little reminder. 😉

Unrequited love does not exist in our universe. Consider the text book definition. The dictionary defines unrequited as “not reciprocated or returned in kind.” I am already hearing the cries, “But Johnny didn’t love me!” or “I was never good enough for him!” or better yet, “She never even noticed me.” I still stand by my statement that unrequited love is a myth in this universe.

Why a myth, you ask? Love is a form of energy, and energy in our universe is never really lost. As a society, we have gotten so caught up in the physicality of “boy meets girl- falls in love” that we lose the sense of what love really is. Consider that everything in the universe is connected with energy. Consciousness in essence is where your thoughts dwell. While some may stay locked in the cause and effect mentality, others transcend that limiting belief. Some…

Halloween and the Thinning Veil

The veil this time of year is thinnest between our world and the spirit world. It’s connected to the very origins of All Hollow’s Eve. The presence of other beings can be more easily felt when the veil is thin. This created many superstitions surrounding this time of year. A Celtic festival took place where people would light bonfires and dress up to ward off roaming spirits. This is where our costume traditions came from. A thinning veil is nothing to fear and is a chance to tap into knowledge more easily.

This week, so far, has proven itself one of emotions and feelings. It has been almost effortless tuning into the energy of situations around us from both an individual level and global scale. Our intuition is heightened when the veil is thin. We are able to feel information more easily when we keep our minds and bodies clear with healthful practices (See Julie Tour Discusses 5 Simple Steps to Develop Psychic Awareness). This awareness is taken to new heights during this time of hyper-sensitivity. While tapping into higher dimensional energies can be very uplifting, the energy of the world is also shining light on very dark matters, making the general feeling one of intensity. Lies are coming to light. Corruption is being exposed. People are waking up on a variety of long-term issues humankind has been facing.

When people are dishonest, and you can feel it, it may feel like a betrayal. Just know that there are deeper issues at play when someone is dishonest that has everything to do with them and not you. Be as compassionate as possible when facing these challenges for not only the person in question, but your own peace. Corruption on a global scale may seem beyond your control, and can be scary when recognized and felt. It is important to realize that sending light and love to even the most horrendous situations can create ripples throughout the world and bring about change. Awareness is the first step to address an issue and can generate discussion to solve it. Instead of focusing on fears that may arise, stay centered in prayer and meditation. We have so much help from so many beautiful souls that anything is possible. Remember, love is always the answer, no matter the question.

The energy may feel intense, but there is fun and joy to be had this Halloween. Keep shining your light, go with the flow of events, and enjoy. XO

Happiness in the Here and Now

Once upon a time, I was college graduate who solely wanted to accomplish goal after goal after goal. I truly feel this constant need to do more came from grade school. If I was goofing around, there was some project or some test I was putting off. This feeling translated into my adulthood. It’s one of the great lies we tell ourselves that accomplishing more titles or more projects will also translate into more happiness in the future. When we focus on bringing joy to our lives in the here and now, we start living our best lives today.

In recent years, I’ve focused more on my own personal joy. This came from the realization that taking time out for fun is an amazing investment. To make space in my life for fun has equipped me with the ability to better help others. To be creative and to have a fresh perspective on things when I go to write, or even when getting creative with charity work, it really takes a good balance of work and play. You should never feel guilty to take time out for yourself.

The beautiful thing about joy is that it’s contagious. Happy people truly can better help others find more joy in their lives. With this logic in mind, it’s easy to see how your own joy can not only be a good thing for you, but everyone around you. Making joy your priority is anything but selfish. To make joy your priority is to bring more joy to not only yourself, but to the world around you. This planet could definitely use more of that.

Welcome to the Shift: When Things Go “Wrong”

It’s always interesting when things go “wrong” from our point of view. I truly feel as time goes on, terrible things that once perplexed me start to make a little more sense. The undesirable things tend to mix things up and shift your life to something even better. Remembering this important life lesson during trying times is key.

Did you lose your job? Lose someone you love to the other side? Have the bill collections caught up to you? Did that amazing person you want to get to know become unavailable? Good. Feel that. Feel all of it. But then let it go. Let the universe take it’s course. Let the shifting situations around you naturally unfold.

It can always be scary when we can’t see how things will work out. But that’s what faith is. According to Martin Luther King Jr., faith is taking the first step even though you cannot see the whole staircase. Taking a little step everyday amidst trying situations, that tend to fog up our vision, will lead you to an even better situation. Even in the worst of circumstances, at least you are learning. Have faith that the universe is working in your favor, because it is.

Mercury Retrograde: It’s All a Part of the Plan

Mercury retrograde is a time for rest, reflection, and revisiting moments in your life. Electronics may go wonky, hence my MacBook that won’t power up today, but it’s okay. Instead of powering through some writing, I took the time to really just be. Life is truly sweet, and while everyone has their seemingly dark days, even those moments seem to bring blessings.

Being ridiculously happy lately has brought these beautiful moments of clarity. I’ve realized everything I once perceived as “bad” in my life has actually been the very events that led to a very beautiful time. It has given me this inner peace knowing that whatever job I didn’t get, or crisis situation I had to deal with, all of these things led me to this beautiful time of life. When the universe shuts a door or blocks a certain path, take it as a trail marker that you are being redirected to your purpose, because it truly is.

Every dark day I’ve ever had, I’ve managed to see synchronistic signs that helped me believe things were going to be okay. However, not knowing what tomorrow would bring was scary at times. I would go back and tell myself not to worry, that everything was working out beautifully, despite outward appearances. I truly feel in my soul that I knew this to be true, but being on the other side of tumultuous times I would reassure myself that these redirections would just become part of my success story.

Embrace the unexpected, the rejections, and the Mercury Retrogrades in your life. These, too, are here for a reason. 💗

The Curious Mystery of the Missing Crystal

I had been wearing the same amethyst around my neck for the better part of a couple years. About a month ago, a random woman came up to me and told me she could see Archangel Michael behind me and that I am always protected. She made a comment that I don’t really need my necklace. I instantly knew she was referring to the amethyst I had chosen to wear for protection. I was elated to get a message like that on a day I had been seeing a lot of Angel Numbers, and deeply felt it was genuine and heartfelt. Even with such a beautiful message, I didn’t want to part with the crystal I had become so partial to wearing. I eventually bought a new crystal, a rose quartz, meant as a replacement, but still couldn’t bring myself to separate the amethyst from my necklace.

Last week, I noticed the crystal was missing from my necklace before I went to bed. Retracing my steps seemed impossible since it was lost on my day off and I had ran a bunch of errands all over the place. I really wanted to know what had come of it. More importantly, I didn’t want this loss to be a waste. Instead of being completely bummed about it, I said a little prayer that someone who needs it will find it, and hoped for the best.

A few days later, a coworker of mine, who I will call Sandy, stopped by my desk and started telling me about how she just came inside from her work break. Sandy was sitting in her car reading articles on the Internet about celebrities that carry crystals. This sparked an interest in her that lead her to research crystals to help herself. She realized she wanted to purchase an amethyst for a particular concern she had that very morning. As she came to this realization towards the end of her break, she opened her door and stepped outside to feel something break beneath her foot. She extended her hand at this point in the story to show me a broken amethyst. But it wasn’t just any amethyst.

“That’s my crystal!” I exclaimed, in utter disbelief. I proceeded to tell Sandy about the woman who came up to me randomly saying that I don’t need my necklace, and how it came to be missing. It was bizarre that it happened to drop in my work’s parking lot to begin with since I had literally only stopped there in an area I never really even park in for a moment on my day off.

It was clear through such a synchronistic series of events that the crystal was meant for Sandy. We both had goosebumps and exchanged a series of excited statements. However, we were both slightly concerned it was broken, and started researching interpretations of the meanings behind broken crystals. The first site that we opened said that when a crystal is broken, it can mean it’s work with you is done and it is a sign to gift it to someone else who needs it. The fact it broke and the way it broke made me feel even better about letting it go. Sandy now keeps the crystal pieces in her pocket daily as she is working on a healing.

It was such an auspicious day from the start, even before Sandy happened to stop and talk to me, particularly, instead of the dozens of people working around us. The moon was full, and I kept seeing even more angel numbers than usual. It was like a heightened intuition had come over everyone with whom I came in contact. A different coworker happened to give me my work break at 4:44, which means angels are all around you. When everyone works together to bring each other signs and messages without even trying, it just shows how connected we all are. As for the missing crystal, it was never really missing at all, just repurposed for a greater need.

Transmuting Negativity into Light-Filled Situations

While the news blasts all of the worrisome things in this world, many of us have trouble seeing the light around us. Even on a personal level, there will be doomsayers in your life telling you to expect the worst in situations and people. What has become increasingly more apparent to me is that we often perpetuate our own experiences based on our beliefs about reality. Even in the most dire of circumstances, there is a way to see the light. Mr. Rogers once shared advice from his mother that even during the most troubling situations reported on the news, you can see a positive perspective. “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”
There is literally light everywhere in this world and within every single person you meet. Everyone has the potential to show you their best version of themselves. What I found to help bring more positive situations in my life is keeping positive even in the difficult times. I got increasingly good at it to the point it become almost effortless to see from a higher perspective. I started writing stories and advice under the alias “Angel Eyes”. I chose my name very deliberately. I truly believe in Angels, non-denominational higher dimensional beings, who truly help everyone, simultaneously. In prior posts, I have shared stories of synchronicities demonstrating their help from the other side. These compassionate beings see you for the light inside you and love you unconditionally. To see the world through “Angel Eyes” is to truly see the world with absolute love.
Dr. Wayne Dyer once said, “if you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” If you don’t like what you see, try to flip the situation mentally into a positive and believe it. Doing this may take some practice, but it will help you attract beautiful situations into your life. No matter where you are or what you are going through in this world, you have the ability to see love and light wherever you go. Do this and watch your life transform into your highest potential.

Perception in an Evolving Society

“A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?” -Albert Einstein

“You have to go on and be crazy. Craziness is like Heaven.” -Jimi Hendrix

“Don’t let the opinions of the average man sway you. Dream, and he thinks you’re crazy. Succeed, and he thinks you’re lucky. Acquire wealth, and he thinks you’re greedy. Pay no attention. He simply doesn’t understand.” – Robert G. Allen

I have recently rediscovered Einstein’s quotes, theories, and life view over the past year and I think he was onto something bigger than the main history books teach. Innovation in this society truly happens a lot more slowly than we give it credit for. The truly innovative ideas are often dismissed as crazy, and unreasonable until enough time has passed and the idea has grown into widespread acceptance. Sure, we have breakthroughs in technology all the time, but it seems to take so long for the rest of the world to wake up and accept amazing discoveries as fact. Think about how you would try to explain the world isn’t flat to a world of people who would vow to their children that the world is flat. The age of the Sphinx is a great modern day example of this. There is an abundance of evidence that suggests that the ruins are much older than mainstream textbooks claim, but because it challenges what is widely accepted as creation, anything on the contrary to mainstream belief is being swept under the rug.

My point is to you– all of you lonely people out there who feel the grain of people are constantly against you–that you are in great company. The greatest thinkers in society throughout history have been mocked, hated, misunderstood, tar and feathered, hung, and even imprisoned and tortured. Keep the faith. Hold on to your convictions, and trudge forward fearlessly into the direction of your wildest dreams. Don’t stop for anyone, and when you finally reach the top, the naysayers will seem so small. When you stop trying to win the people over that don’t believe in you, the real miracles occur. Let go and let yourself keep dreaming big… the world truly needs it.

The Goddesses of Easter: Ostara vs Ishtar

May you all have a blessed Spring Equinox this year!

Julie Tourangeau's avatarJulie Tourangeau

A few years ago, I had a dramatic restoration of faith in God. During this time of my life, my husband and I ended up renting out to a roommate to help with bills. I don’t believe it was an accident that he just so happened to hold a bachelor’s degree from one of the state’s best universities in Comparative Religions. Since he did not personally affiliate with any particular religion, I often got an unbiased perspective of the control of information (and sometimes misinformation) in religions. I found myself asking him many questions on historical references for things I had been discovering through intuition and spiritual truths. Growing up, I had lost interest in traditional holidays I celebrated in my Catholic upbringing, but I found myself on a quest to separate fact from fiction on why the modern world practices and believes what it does. Holiday origins were some…
